Hawaii Self Storage of Honolulu will store all the books and other informational media of the soon-to-be demolished Manoa Public Library during the two years it will take to build a replacement. The storage facility is donating 13,000 square feet of air-conditioned space to the cause. The inventory includes approximately 13,000 books, CDs and other library items, according to state librarian Richard Burns. The cost savings to the state is approximately $13,000, said Shaun Salvador, vice president of sales and marketing.
