Along with his wife, Sharon, Endthoff owns Sharon Self Storage, a facility they plan to continue operating in the town of Beloit. In addition, Endthoff will pursue volunteer duties with a church camp and spend time with his wife fishing.
Endthoff was given an ax plaque, a clock for 25 years of service, a watch from the union, recognition from the Town of
Endthoff carries with him several memories of his service. He always tells people that firefighters never get invited to things like birthday parties, but rather to tragic events. During those events, though, firefighters often experience some funny or unusual circumstances. Those instances always make for good stories. Endthoff's wife said she's happy to have more time with him. His schedule meant he missed a lot of holidays, and he'd often get called away in the middle of family activities for an emergency.
