Kansas City, Mo.-based Butler Manufacturing Co., a subsidiary of BlueScope Steel Ltd., purchased HCI Steel Building Systems Inc.

Kansas City, Mo.-based Butler Manufacturing Co., a subsidiary of BlueScope Steel Ltd., purchased HCI Steel Building Systems Inc., which designs and manufactures steel-building solutions. Founded in 1974, HCI has a manufacturing plant in Arlington, Wash., built in 1996 and upgraded with new equipment in 2005. The company serves the Northwest States and West Canada through a network of authorized builders. It generated sales of nearly $40 million for the year ended June 2007.
 
Butler manufactures pre-engineered steel buildings. The company's system includes the structure, its MR-24 standing-seam roof, partitions, corridors and doors. Masonry walls can also be incorporated. For more information, visit www.butlermfg.com.
