As part of its Christmas Charity Appeal, Access Self Storage of Southampton, England, is collecting new toys for the Southampton City and Region Action to Combat Hardship (SCRATCH). The organization provides services to help relieve the effects of hardship, disadvantage and poverty for individuals and families in Southampton and surrounding areas. It’s the eighth year the operator has acted as a drop-off for the charity. Donations can be made at the facility on Third Avenue through Dec. 13, according to the source.
“We are delighted to be working with the SCRATCH team again this year, and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who gets involved donating gifts for the children they look after,” said property manager Stuart Beyer. “We look forward to greeting everyone popping in with donations. In 2018, we collected 250 new toys, and we would love to smash this record this year with your help."
“We depend on our local community for volunteers and donations so we can continue the great work we do,” said SCRATCH Senior Manager Annette Davis. “Having worked with Access for so many Christmas campaigns now, the team feels very much part of our own and we really appreciate the donation of the storage space to gather toys. All the gifts donated will mean the world to these children as many have very little. We are so grateful for any gift, big or small.”
Access operates more than 50 facilities in the United Kingdom, with a large concentration in Greater London.
Founded in 1999, SCRATCH provides furniture and household items, holiday gifts, training, and other services.
