Lock America International (LAI), a provider of locks and security components for the self-storage industry, is reorganizing the companys leadership as CEO Frank Minnella steps back from day-to-day operation into an advisory role. Watson Visuwan will move from sales manager to vice president of marketing, and Dan Walsh was promoted to sales manager.

Ive been active in the security lock business for over 30 years, and its time for a new generation to take over operations and marketing for Lock America, Minnella said. Watson has proven himself in many roles at Lock America over the last 15 years.

Visuwan has worn many hats in his years with Lock America. Watson started as a teenager packing orders and answering the phone, Minnella said. Over the years, he has mastered lock assembly and troubleshooting, computer and technical support, advertising production and, most important, business development and sales management. Hes done the job wherever weve put him.

Walsh joined LAI in 2011 as a sales associate with an extensive background in the amusement-equipment industry. His success in developing and building accounts in Lock Americas many markets, especially amusement, vending, propane and self-storage, led to the promotion.

Dan has shown from the start that he knows how to listen to customers and prospects, determine their needs and work to meet them, Minnella said. This promotion recognizes his rapid growth in the company and his increased responsibilities. A number of our new markets have grown this year, thanks in part to Dans contributions.

Serving the self-storage industry since 1981, Corona, Calif.-based LAI offers security solutions for commercial, industrial and consumer companies. The company designs, manufactures and markets locks and security hardware.
