Two of the plots are in Garland, Texas, with the others in McKinney and Mesquite, Texas. The construction projects will be staggered between now and February 2015, according to a press release.
Scheduled to open this month, the Platinum facility at 9233 Westridge Blvd. in McKinney will comprise 55,250 square feet of self-storage and 13,000 square feet of boat/RV storage on 4.99 acres. Valk purchased the property in May.
Development will begin this month on the facility planned for 3417 Broadway Blvd. in Garland. The asset will comprise 85,000 square feet on 3.78 acres. Purchased in May, this lot is the smallest of the four properties.
The other Garland property at 2900 Centerville Road is the largest of Valk’s four deals at 15.82 acres. Development on a 107,000-square-foot facility is scheduled for February 2015. Valk purchased the property in August.
The Mesquite facility at 1350 N. Beltline Road will comprise 87,000 square feet of storage on 3.8 acres. The project is scheduled to begin in January 2015. Valk purchased the land in June.
Shawn Valk, an agent with Assured Realty, brokered each of the deals.
