<p>U.K. self-storage operator Safestore in Rutherglen, Scotland, raised more than $770 (£500) for a local charity during a week-long donation drive. The charity, Capability Scotland, provides education, employment and support services for disabled children and adults in Scotland. The organization has 19 stores in which it sells donated goods to raise money to support its work.</p>

The charity, Capability Scotland, provides education, employment and support services for disabled children and adults in Scotland. The organization has 19 stores in which it sells donated goods to raise money to support its work.

The Safestore facility on Dalmarnock Road in Glasgow also collected clothes, books, toys and household goods during the charity drive, dubbed Dash to Donate. The event garnered 27 bags of donated items, which will be sold in the organizations shops, said Sophie Wilbraham, retail commercial manager for Capability Scotland. More than 1,000 bags were collected throughout the United Kingdom during the Safestore campaign.

Owned by owned Safestore Holdings PLC, Safestore operates 135 self-storage facilities, including 98 U.K. locations and 25 facilities in France. The company also has 12 locations under management in the United Kingdom. It serves approximately 43,700 total customers and employs about 550 people.
