The Storage Mall, which operates 14 self-storage facilities in New Jersey and New York, has purchased two-property Storage Station portfolio in New Jersey, its second acquisition in the state, according to a company press release. The properties are at 25 James St. in Toms River and 29 Flint Road in the borough of South Toms River. The portfolio encompasses 48,671 square feet of storage space in 506 units.

The Storage Mall, which operates 14 self-storage facilities in New Jersey and New York, has purchased two-property Storage Station portfolio in New Jersey, its second acquisition in the state, according to a company press release. The properties are at 25 James St. in Toms River and 29 Flint Road in the borough of South Toms River. The portfolio encompasses 48,671 square feet of storage space in 506 units.

Property features include perimeter fencing, video cameras, and a retail center that sells moving and packing supplies. The Flint Road location also has 20 vehicle-parking spaces. Improvements will be made to both properties, including new roofing, signage and other cosmetic updates, the release stated.

Storage Station recently sold its two other properties in New Jersey and New York. The company was founded in 1999 in New Jersey, and had acquired and rebranded several storage facilities in New Jersey and New York over the years.

Founded in 2000 and based in Rochester, N.Y., The Storage Mall has more than 350,000 square feet of storage space in 3,000 units. It’s looking to nearly double the size of its portfolio in the next five years through expansion along the East Coast and in the Midwest, according to the release.
