Smart Storage, which operates six self-storage facilities in England, has signed a multi-season sponsorship agreement with the Altrincham Football Club (AFC) to create awareness about its new facility at 41 Craven Road in Altrincham. In particular, the operator will sponsor the club’s mascot, Rocky Robin, as well as the family stand at the club’s stadium.
“The team is excited about bringing the best storage facilities yet to South Manchester,” said Jon Gardner, who manages Smart Storage Altrincham. “We have already let 80 percent of the rentable space, and we are inviting fans of Altrincham FC, businesses and residents to come see our impressive new premises.”
Smart Storage will also participate AFC’s holiday charity drive to collect toys for the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, which provides programs for terminally ill, chronically sick, disabled and disadvantaged children.
"We would like to thank the team at Smart Storage for choosing to invest in the football club,” said Barry Pond, associate director for AFC. “The support of local companies is vital to the plans the club has within the community as well as on the pitch, and I hope that it is the start of a long relationship between us and Smart Storage."
In addition to its Altrincham location, Smart Storage operates facilities in Liverpool, Preston, Warrington, Widnes and Wirral, England.
