Powdersville Self Storage in Greenville, S.C., is working with two local churches to help the areas homeless. The self-storage operator is supporting Powdersville First Baptist Church and Connection Fellowships outreach program in which volunteers provide food, blankets and coats on Saturday mornings to many in the community who are living on the streets and in the fields.
The charity is encouraging local business to provide meals and food supplies to help with its mission. Cash donations can be made to: Homeless Ministry, C/O Powdersville First Baptist Church, 4212 Highway 153, Easley, SC 29642.
Powdersville Self Storage has been involved in several charitable efforts this year. Last summer, the operator partnered with Landscaper Supply Co. to sponsor a free-meal program. In November, Powdersville Self Storage launched a campaign to help feed orphaned children by selling the Sweet Grace special-edition candle manufactured by Bridgewater Candle Co. For every candle purchased, Bridgewater, partnering with the nonprofit organization, Rice Bowls, will make a donation to feed an orphaned child for one week through its project, Light a Candle Feed a Child.
The company is locally owned and operated, serving the communities of Easley, Greenville and Powdersville. The facility was voted Best of the Upstate five years in a row by readers of the Greenville News.
