Door to Door Storage Inc., a national provider of portable self-storage and moving services, recently sent 26 care packages to armed-forces members serving overseas as part of its Door to Door Cares: Supporting Our Troops program. The company has donated 89 care packages since launching the program in 2009. The packages include items such as Starbucks instant coffee, hand wipes, jerky and personal hygiene products.
These shipments are just a small token of our appreciation. As long as our armed forces are serving abroad, Door to Door will remain dedicated to this cause, said Tracey Kelly, senior vice president of sales and marketing.
The latest series of packages were sent to U.S. Air Force Col. Brad Bredenkamp and distributed to the personnel stationed at Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan. On behalf of the men and women of the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, I would like to thank the people at Door to Door Storage for their moral support and generous donations to our deployed service members, said Col. Brendenkamp. The snacks, energy and vitamin drinks, socks, and other items are especially helpful for our security-forces personnel who patrol outside the wire for long hours at a time to prevent insurgent attacks on our airfield. Personally, I want to thank you all for lifting the spirits of hundreds of dedicated young American men and women who are away from their loved ones serving our great nation.
Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Kent, Wash., Door to Door Storage operates storage centers in more than 60 U.S. metropolitan markets and offers moving services in 34 states.
